Around 6 yesterday afternoon, during a coordinated operation that took place in a livestock area of Nicosia province, members of the Nicosia OPE cut off a 45-year-old man, who was transporting oil, with a trailer tanker to the free areas.
From further examinations carried out together with members of the Customs House, it was found that the oil, amounting to about one and a half tons, was illegally imported and therefore confiscated by the members of the Customs House, who undertook the investigation of the case.
The case was settled out of court with the issuance of a fine of 3.000 euros.
