Born and raised in Melbourne, Orianthi was the "choice" chosen by Michael Jackson to play guitar on the This Is It tour. Unfortunately, however, the death of the King of Pop did not make the dream come true.
Orienthi's idol is Carlos Santana. She owes her love for the guitar to him, as he was the first artist to attend a concert. In fact, the virtuoso himself acknowledged the value of Orianthi, saying that he considers her his successor!
Orienthi's ability has attracted the interest of Eric Clapton and Steve Vai, who have shared the stage with her.
