As it became known, Turkey rented the port of Khums located on the Mediterranean coast of Libya for 99 years, with the aim of creating a military base.
With the military base to be established at the port and granted to the Turkish armed forces, it is planned to strengthen Turkey's sovereignty in the Eastern Mediterranean, increase control over Turkish territorial waters and ensure the safety of merchant ships.
New projects will be developed
According to the information, the military base to be established in the area is planned for the deployment of Turkish national UAV / UCAV systems and air defense systems that led to the success of the military operation in Libya.
