The payment of a lump sum to support single-parent families has begun

The Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, following the decision of the Council of Ministers, dated 21/02/2024, announces that today the lump sums for the support of single-parent families and other beneficiaries of the child benefit are paid to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries based on income and property criteria.

It is recalled that beneficiaries are single-parent families with an annual income of up to 19.500 euros and a higher amount of deposits of 10.000 euros. The one-off amount amounts to 100 euros for the first child, increasing by 50 euros for each additional child, with a maximum amount of 250 euros. In addition to the four dependent children, an additional amount of 100 euros is granted.

Beneficiaries of the above lump sum are also families who receive child benefit with an annual income of 25.000 euros and a maximum amount of deposits of 15.000 euros.

With regard to granting the one-off amount of 100 euros to households that receive a Minimum Guaranteed Income and are not included in the above categories, the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare informs the beneficiaries that this will be paid within the current week.
