The news of the sudden death of Endocrinology Doctor Stavros Papavergis caused sadness in Cyprus and Greece.
The 63-year-old doctor breathed his last last Sunday during his participation in the Mitserou Marathon.

Stavros supported and cared for thousands of patients during his long medical career and the prayers of all of them, like ours, will accompany him in heaven, in the neighborhood of the angels. The best memorial for the sleeping Stavros is to be united and to continue with more zeal our common vision of humane health care for our fellow citizens.
