A flight attendant was recorded telling a passenger to "get off" after allegedly making a colleague cry.

The flight attendant of the Indian airline IndiGo was involved in a heated argument with a traveler on a flight from Istanbul to Delhi.

Another passenger filmed the incident, which immediately went viral when he shared it online.

"Shut up, I'm not your maid!" the flight attendant can be heard saying in the video, which also tells the man to stop pointing and yelling at her, adding that "my crew is crying because of you."

The reason for the fight was reportedly the meals served on the flight. According to NTDV, the man had asked for a sandwich and the crew told him they would see if they had any available.

The man then allegedly started shouting, prompting a cabin crew member to burst into tears.

The flight attendant tried to explain to the passenger that there was a trolley of metered meals and they could only serve him what he had paid for – holding his boarding pass. The passenger then asks her why she is shouting.

“I'm very sorry sir, but you can't talk to the crew like that. I listen to you with all due respect, but you must also respect the crew,'' replies the flight attendant.

He then asks her: "Why are you shouting? Why are you shouting; Shut up," with the flight attendant replying, "You, shut up!", adding immediately afterward, "I'm an employee. I am not your servant."

An IndiGo spokesperson told MailOnline: "We are aware of the incident that took place on flight 6E 12 from Istanbul to Delhi on 16 December 2022. The issue was related to the meals selected by certain passengers."
