"We have nine children to treat COVID-19 currently one month to ten years old. Eight are under five years old. The children are out of danger. The predominant symptom is fever. Dr. Elias urged all parents to proceed with the vaccination of their children, stating that with the non-vaccination "apart from the health of the children that we endanger, we also endanger the smooth reopening of schools".
Asked, Dr. Elias was in favor of closing schools for a short time, stressing that prolonged school closures should not be done.
