According to the WHO, the African continent has only 8,6 million cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Africa is officially home to 1 billion people, which makes the population equation - cases seem unreal.
Scientists are talking about a fake reality since they officially have only 70 million tests and with whole areas with a large population, especially in the province, they have not been checked even once.
At a time when in Europe the tests exceed 1000 per 100 people and in the USA 170 per 100 people, in Africa for example in South Africa which is considered one of the most developed countries 50 tests per 100 people are performed.
The reason is that there is a low level of medical care, with distances playing a big role, but also the extremely high acceptance of local therapists who use non-medically acceptable methods of care.
A continent with a tradition in therapists using herbs or spells is difficult to persuade to enter into procedures with drugs and vaccines.
It is also very difficult to control the deaths, since many times the deaths are not even officially recorded. In South Africa, 90.000 deaths have been reported in connection with it Covid-19, but authorities say at least 250.000.
The WHO, which predicts that Europe is vulnerable to new sources of infection due to the problem of migration, is campaigning for vaccination and the need to distance itself, with little effect so far.
