People in every corner of the globe are anxiously awaiting the moment when they will say goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020. In some countries the welcome of the new decade has already arrived.
The islands of Samoa and then New Zealand were the first to welcome 2020 with fireworks to welcome the new year.
The beginning was made by the people of Samoa together with the neighboring Kiribati.
