The representative of the Turkish presidency Ibrahim Kalin spoke about a historic visit, referring to the visit of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to Greece, which is the first after 65 years. However, he did not fail to shoot his arrows at the European Union.

According to Ibrahim Kalin, the Turkish President will first visit Athens and then Komotini to discuss issues such as the economy, energy, security, transport, tourism and culture.

"Especially with Greece we have very deep historical relations at every level, in the human sector, cultural, political, economic. We want this visit to be the occasion for the development and deepening of our relations even more ".

The representative of the Turkish presidency also referred to the refugee agreement between the EU and Turkey. He stressed that they are two countries that have taken the greatest responsibility in resolving the refugee problem.

"We have properly implemented all our responsibilities under the agreement with the EU, but unfortunately on the part of the EU, as the public is aware, it has not fulfilled its commitments either on the issue of financial benefits or on the inclusion of Turkish citizens in the Schengen visa. nor on the issue of opening new funds. "I want to remind you of this again on this occasion," he said.

The representative of the Turkish presidency also stated that the support of Greece in its accession process is satisfactory, adding that this and similar issues will be discussed in Athens.

Ibrahim Kalin said that on Friday in Western Thrace the Turkish President will meet with the 'Turkish Muslim minority', as he called the Muslim minority, recalling that in 2005 Tayyip Erdogan had paid a visit to Western Thrace.
