Civil servants are on strike to defend their rule and oppose government reform on the third day of mobilization following the election of Emanuel Macron, whom they accuse of "attacking" them.
The operation of primary and secondary schools was disrupted, as was the accommodation of infants in kindergartens and nurseries, planes were stuck on the ground and power outages were expected. Also, SUD Rail warned of a strike while the next two-day rolling strike of the French Railways Company (SCNF) will begin at 20:00.
Between 130 and 140 demonstrations are planned across France.
