At least 35 dead migrants have been collected off southern southern Tunisia and 68 have been rescued after their boat sank, the defense ministry said today, adding that the toll was temporary.
Last night, Saturday to Sunday, a boat with migrants was spotted while "sinking" off the coast of Sfax, the Interior Ministry had announced earlier.
Since then and until "13.00 local time (15.00 Greek time) 35 bodies were collected and 68 migrants were rescued", said a representative of the Ministry of Defense.
