Many human stories see the light of day after the catastrophic and deadly death left behind by the deadly tornadoes that struck more than 5 US states. The story of two elderly people, however, is very moving.

The elderly couple from Kentucky, who had been married for 56 years, died holding hands after being hit by tornadoes.

Billy and Judy Miller were two of the 11 victims killed as storms hit Muhlenberg County, northwest of Bowling Green in western Kentucky, late Friday night 10/12.

"They died together, holding each other," their granddaughter told the American network KHOU.

"Their love for each other was so deep that we knew they could not survive without each other."

Miller said that despite half a century together and the loss of a son, Billy Miller Jr., and a daughter, Heather Miller Brooks, their love for each other has never diminished.
