Ο Municipality of Paralimni holds the first place in Cyprus, in terms of the award-winning bathing areas with blue flag for 2022 after being awarded 17 beaches of.

Next is her Municipality Ayia Napa with 15 and the Community Council Agios Tychonas with 7.
Total 74 bathing water areas and Limassol marinas and Ayia Napa were awarded with Blue Flag 2022.
Speaking at the Pancyprian Blue Flag Award Ceremony, held last Tuesday at the Ayia Napa Marina, the Minister of Agriculture Costas Kadis, stated that a prerequisite for awarding a coast with the Blue Flag, is the excellent quality of bathing water while taking into account other 33 evaluation criteria for the coasts and 38 for marinas, which certify, among other things, the safety of bathers, the fullest possible information of visitors, the cleanliness and organization of the coast and coastal area, the protection of natural resources and the promotion of environmental awareness.
