A decree to extend the existing measures until midnight on July 8th was issued by the Minister of Health on Monday afternoon.
At the same time, the Decree regulates the decision of the Council of Ministers to grant leave to employees on the day / days of their vaccination without these days being deducted from the employee's annual rest leave.
The same applies to the parents / legal guardians of a minor, as long as he / she accompanies his / her child for vaccination and provided that a certificate of vaccination of the minor is presented.
The Decree as it is
1. This Decree will be referred to as the Infection (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus) COVID-19) Decree (No. 27) of 2021.
2.1 Regulation 2.2 of the Infectious Disease (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19) Decree (No. 26) of 2021, is amended by deleting the phrase "5th of July 2021" (first line) and replacing it with the phrase "8th of July 2021".
2.2 All employees in the private, public, wider public sector, as well as in local authorities, may be absent from work throughout the day of their vaccination, without that day being deducted from the employee's leave of absence and provided that a vaccination certificate is presented:
It is understood that, in the case of a two-dose vaccine, this Regulation applies to both days of vaccination:
It is further understood that this Regulation also applies in cases of parent / legal guardian of a minor child, provided that the parent / legal guardian accompanies his / her minor child for vaccination and provided that a minor vaccination certificate is presented.
3. This Decree enters into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
