Twins were born at Makarios Hospital in Nicosia and one died. The parents filed a complaint for medical negligence.
According to police sources, the mother who was pregnant with twins was hospitalized in Makareio Hospital for the last few days for further follow-up, due to the twin pregnancy, with the doctors, as mentioned in the complaint, informing the family that there was no problem with her pregnancy and everything was going well.
However, yesterday the Makareio Obstetrics Clinic was rushed to the maternity ward, with one the baby being born alive and the other stillborn.
Tomorrow, Thursday, March 4, the legal autopsy will be performed on the body of the unfortunate newborn.
