Police handcuffed a 53-year-old man suspected of trafficking in child pornography.
According to an announcement, members of the Cybercrime Prosecution Branch, were led to the arrest of a 53-year-old man after evaluating information received through Europol, that the holder of a specific account on a social networking platform sent a file to another person with child sexual abuse material.
The 53-year-old suspect was arrested this morning, on the basis of an arrest warrant, while a mobile phone was found in his possession and taken as evidence.
Subsequently, members of the Cybercrime Prosecution Division, in collaboration with members of the British Base Police, conducted a search warrant on the 53-year-old's home and premises, where three tablets, a laptop and a mobile phone were found and seized as evidence. .
