There has been a steady decrease in cases recently in Cyprus, but the deaths in recent days have caused upheaval, especially after yesterday's announcement by the Ministry of Health, where a 30-year-old died of coronavirus.

Speaking to SigmaLive, Dr. Petros Karagiannis said that it is expected that at the end of the wave there will be losses, especially from patients who have been hospitalized for a long time.

In addition, referring to the vaccinations, he clarified that the vaccinations are progressing but not at the pace of the previous weeks.

"There is a complacency between the ages of 20-33, who are lagging behind in vaccinations," he said.

He went on to say that if there is a new wave or a new surge they will be the vulnerable group.
