Increases ranging from €62 to €77 will be seen in the monthly salaries of the low-paid hotel employees, based on the decree to increase the minimum wages in the hotel industry issued by the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance Yiannis Panagiotou following a relevant decision of the Council of Ministers.
As stated in a Ministry announcement, the Decree includes revised minimum wage limits for a number of occupations in the hotel industry, with a retroactive effective date of June 1, 2023.
The new Decree replaces the existing Decree which has been in force since January 2020 and is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement and on the basis of the Law on Minimum Wages (Chap. 183).
Based on the Decree, the minimum limit is set as follows:
