If deemed necessary, the adoption of the measure concerning the traffic ban is not ruled out, however at the moment there is no decision for such a thing, but plans for all possibilities, Government Spokesman Kyriakos Kousios told KYPE, confirming last night's report according to with which the President is oriented towards taking stricter measures.

This is an issue on which experts are called to express their position and politicians will follow the views of experts, said Mr. Kousios. He added that the adoption of this measure is not ruled out if developments require it, but there is no decision at this time for such a thing.

Mr. Kousios stated that during today's meeting of the Council of Political Party Leaders, chaired by President Anastasiadis, the President will inform the political leaders about the measures being taken and the measures that the government is considering depending on the developments. He will tell them about the plans that already exist, which include the possibility of a traffic ban if the need arises, he added.

He also said that President Anastasiadis will listen to the views and suggestions of the political leaders and "will come to a common line" on how to deal with the situation.
