It is noted that the amount does not include the money spent in Turkey. According to JCC data, Greek Cypriots spent 307 thousand euros in Turkey, while in total for 2017 they spent 3,4 million euros.

Compared to 2016, the purchase of goods and services from the occupied territories in 2017 decreased by 1,4 million euros.

It is recalled that in 2016, the turnover of the Greek Cypriots using credit cards in the occupied territories amounted to 10,5 million euros.

On the other side, Turkish Cypriots and foreigners living illegally in the occupied territories and using credit cards issued by Turkish banks and Turkish banks have made purchases from the free zones amounting to 25,9 million euros, more than double the amount they paid. the Greek Cypriots.

For the month of December alone, they spent 2,2 million euros to buy services and markets in the free zones. It is recalled that for 2016 the Turkish Cypriots paid 26 million euros in the free zones using credit cards.
