Scaffolding was stolen from a construction site - Five persons were handcuffed

They found five persons placing scaffolding in a car

It was reported to the Police yesterday by a resident of Limassol that unknown persons are allegedly stealing scaffolding from a building under construction located in a village in the district of Limassol.

Members of the Pachnas Police Station went to the spot where they found five people placing scaffolding in a car.

During the check that followed, it was found that the above five persons did not have in their possession any documents proving their identity and they were taken to the Episkopi Police Station for verification of information. As it was established, these are three asylum seekers, while the application of the other two persons was rejected and they resided illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.

Subsequently, the above persons were arrested based on court warrants and taken into custody while the Pachnas Police Station continues its investigations.
