The Ministry of Health announced on Friday (26/12) 912 new cases of coronavirus in Cyprus.
The 120 cases concern people who live in the "Pournara" Hospitality Center.
According to current epidemiological data, the percentage of positivity in the country has increased, something that the Minister of Health Michalis Hatzipandelas attributes to conducting a self test. As he explained to SigmaLive, the negative results of the tests are not included in the daily announcements, as a result of which more positive tests are recorded in the whole epidemiological picture. This increases the positivity rate.
However, the Minister of Health will wait for tomorrow's epidemiological data and then will decide to tighten the measures.
