The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, in consultation with the Ministry of Health, after taking into account the recommendations of the special committee that examined the epidemiological picture of schools and which includes officials of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Ministry of Health and members of the Advisory Scientific Committee, announces that:

  • Public and private schools will continue to operate with a physical presence.
  • Next week (April 19-23) the sampling tests will be continued and intensified with a rapid antigen detection test (nasal sampling for minors) in children attending the elementary school classes.
  • Recommended to parents / guardians as their children, over 6 years old, use the protective mask inside the school (strict recommendation).
  • Parents / guardians of Primary Education children are encouraged to perform a rapid antigen detection test (nasal sampling for minors) on their children before the schools reopen after the Easter holidays.
  • In the coming days, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth will convene a meeting of the confederations of parents of Primary, Primary and Secondary Education to inform them about the epidemiological picture of schools and to discuss the measures planned to be implemented.
  • It is reminded that all high school students should, based on the current decrees, submit a negative test for rapid antigen detection during the reopening of schools after the Easter holidays.
  • With the reopening of the schools, after the Easter holidays, tests will be performed with a rapid antigen detection test (nasal sampling for minors) and for children attending the primary school classes based on a program, which will be notified in a timely manner. in schools. The test will not be mandatory, but parents / guardians are encouraged to give their consent.
