Five cases of house and real estate burglaries and one car theft, committed in the last few days, in Nicosia, after the arrest of a minor, appear to be under investigation. The minor was located and arrested yesterday, by members of the Police, since he was in possession of the keys to a stolen vehicle.
The five burglaries were committed, in various areas of Nicosia, between November 2 and 7, 2023. According to what was reported to the Police, after the apartment burglary, which was committed on November 6, the perpetrators also allegedly stole the complainant's car, after they had stolen the keys from the apartment.
Yesterday morning, members of the TAE Nicosia, who were on motorized patrol, spotted the above vehicle parked in an area of Nicosia. Nearby, the minor was also found, in whose possession, after a related investigation, the keys to the vehicle were found.
Inside the car, various items of evidence were located and taken, which are said to be connected to two of the above burglaries, which were committed on November 6th and 7th. Regarding the remaining three cases, in the context of the police examinations, testimony against the minor was obtained.
Based on the above, a judicial arrest warrant was issued against the minor, pursuant to which he was arrested and detained to facilitate investigations.
