Petros Anagiotos, an official of the Thera Department, spoke on the front page about the incidents of gun ownership by minors.
He initially stated that the law prohibits the possession of a shotgun by a person who is under 18 years of age, has not completed his military service, while he needs to attend some classes and attend exams.
He added that the legislation is very strict and starts with a fine of two thousand euros and goes up in combination with other offenses. "It is legal for minors to participate in the hunt as escorts when they take action," he said.
He pointed out that there are very often such cases where minors are reported for possession of a shotgun, emphasizing that they try through the lectures to convey the points that one should pay attention to.
He then spoke about the hunters who go on excursions and leave their dogs homeless, explaining that from this year all hunters must write the dog's marking number on their hunting license.
Finally, he mentioned that there are some breeds that are used for hunting. "To worry if we see a stray dog in areas where hunting is allowed."
