Mercedes has officially unveiled the new S-Class in Hamburg, which is overflowing with comfort and luxury, as well as the new and innovative technologies it incorporates.The dynamism of the new S-Class is taken for granted and is reflected in both the front grille and the body length, where references to the CLA and CLS are clear.
The Mercedes-Benz sedan has a length of 5.116 mm, while there will be a Long version with a longer wheelbase and a total length of 5.246 mm. The body width is 1.899 mm. and the height of 1.496 mm.
When designing the new S-Class, the main concern was the comfort of the rear passengers. In fact, they can control (via a remote control or application on their smartphone) all the functions of the 5th generation Command.
Also with the push of a button on the side of the door, the backs of the seats are tilted 43,5 degrees, the front seat "falls" forward, the footrest is raised resulting in even a 2 meter to literally lie super-comfortable.
In addition, the seats have 6 different massage programs, while of course they are both heated and ventilated.
In the new S-Class, thanks to its advanced air conditioning system, it is possible to ionize the air on the one hand and perfume it on the other. Either with one of the four specially made perfumes for Mercedes, or with one of your choice…
The new S-Class does not have a conventional instrument panel. It has been replaced by a 12,3-inch, high-resolution display that displays all the necessary information in the driver.
At the same time, right next to it, there is another one of the same size, which has the Bosch SplitView system. Thanks to them, the driver and front passenger can see two different signs at the same time.
At the same time, in the flagship of Mercedes-Benz we find innovative technologies, such as the Magic Body Control system, which detects the irregularities of the road and adjusts the suspension accordingly.
As for the mechanical sets that will drive the new S-Class, it is the 3-liter V6 258 hp diesel engine in the S350 BlueTEC versions, while the S400 HYBRID version is equipped with a 6 liter V3,5 petrol engine, 306 hp, plus 27 hp from the electric motor.
The top-of-the-line S500 is powered by a 8-liter V4,6 petrol engine that produces 455 horsepower, while the 0-100 requires just 4,8 dl.
