The highly successful Opel Mokka, the small crossover of the German brand, was renewed and acquired a new look and the X in its name.

It was 2012 when Opel introduced the then new Opel Mokka, a model that would represent it in the small crossover category.

Since then, Mokka has managed to sell just over 500.000 units. Now, Opel decided it was time to upgrade and introduced the Mokka X.

It is essentially an extended facelift of the Mokka, which has to show several design changes, mainly in the front. Specifically, we see a redesigned bumper, new lights and a new grille. The changes in the rear are similar, where we find a redesigned bumper and LED lights.

The biggest changes are in the cabin, which now shares more parts with the Astra, while the dashboard is dominated by a large 7-inch touch screen and optionally, 8 inches. It is also new in the multimedia system.

But there are also changes under the renewed body of the Opel Mokka X. Specifically, except for the 1,6 lt. with 110 and 136 hp, the range of engines of the Mokka X will have 1,4 liters. turbo, direct injection with 152 horsepower which replaces the current engine.

This version will be able to work in addition to the manual and the 6-speed automatic transmission as well as four-wheel drive. According to Opel, the consumption of the two-wheeled version with this engine is 6,6 l / 100 km and the CO2 emissions are 154 g / km.

As for its equipment, it will have all the latest technological goodies that we found in the new Astra.

It will premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show next autumn and will be accompanied by its simultaneous launch. Its prices will not differ significantly from those of today's Mokka.
