The first photos and information about the brand new 308 were released by Peugeot.
The completely new French small and medium is based on the new EMP2 platform that helps to significantly reduce the weight, which averages 140 kg in this case!
At 4,25 m long, the new 308 is shorter than the current model, with its design featuring sleek lines with elements from the 408 and 208.
The interior follows the standards of the 208 more: simple in design, with a small diameter steering wheel and with a dominant element the 9,7 inch touch screen in the center console.
For the mechanical parts, the French still keep their papers closed, stating only that the greener version will have CO2 emissions of 85 g / km.
However, according to information, the range will include low-displacement engines, including a 1.200 hp Turbo petrol with 130 hp and the well-known 1.600 petrol and diesel of the French company. It is possible that later we will see a version with the new Hybrid Air system that we first saw in 2008.
The official premiere of the new 308 will take place on September 10, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with sales in Europe starting in the fall.
