The contribution of the Legal Service will be requested today with a written request in order to clarify the issue that has arisen with the emblem of a candidate for the presidency of the Republic, on the ballot paper of the upcoming elections.

Speaking to Trito, the Head of the Election Service, Dimitris Dimitriou, said that the candidate himself had lodged an objection, arguing that the wording on his emblem was not clear enough.

Two candidate staffs also claimed that the specific word is an insult to the political world.
Mr. Dimitriou said that there is enough time to clarify the issue, since as he noted, the printing of the ballots by the State Printing Office is scheduled for next Sunday, January XNUMX.

According to Mr. Dimitriou, today the deadline for objections to the electoral list expires. As he said, there are individual objections mainly concerning older voters, who have now applied for registration.

Answering a question, he said that a total of 38 polling stations will operate abroad.
