In Vienna, PtD to discuss EU strategic agenda with leaders

The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, is moving tomorrow, April 12, to Vienna, where he will participate in a working dinner of a group of leaders of European Union (EU) member states, following an invitation from the President of the European Council, Mr. Charles Michel and its Chancellor Austria Mr. Karl Nehammer.

The dinner, which will take place tomorrow evening at the Austrian Chancellery, will focus on drawing up the EU's strategic agenda for the next five years.

In particular, the emerging strategic agenda priorities for a stronger Europe will be discussed, such as external action, defense and security, migration and enlargement, competitiveness and prosperity issues, such as the twin transition, entrepreneurship, social welfare, as well as issues related to the rule of law and EU principles and values.

Upon his arrival at the Chancellery, President Christodoulidis will be received by the Chancellor of Austria and will then sit down to dinner with the leaders of Austria, Denmark, Malta, Latvia, Slovakia and Slovenia and the President of European Council.

The President of the Republic, who will return to Cyprus on April 13, will be accompanied by the Deputy Government Representative Mr. Yannis Antoniou and officials.
