The President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis is going to Brussels today to participate in the work of the two-day Summit of the European Council.
The Summit, which starts tomorrow, will focus on Immigration, Digital Europe, European Union Defense and External Relations and the Future of Europe after Brexit.
The range of EU-Turkey relations will be discussed at tomorrow's working dinner of the Heads of State and Government.
In this context, President Anastasiadis will inform the European partners of Cyprus about unacceptable actions of the Turkish side such as the assimilation of the Turkish Cypriots and the imposition of tariffs on products sent to the trapped.
On the sidelines of the Council, President Anastasiadis will meet with, among others, the Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, and the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tagiani.
The President of the Republic, who will be accompanied by Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulidis, will return to Cyprus on Friday.
