Another two boats with irregular migrants from Syria entered the territory of the republic illegally today Friday through the maritime area of Cape Greco.
According to the information, a total of 39 people illegally entered the territory of the Republic in two different cases.
Specifically, 19 people were on board one boat and 20 on the other. The boats were taken by the Port and Maritime Police to the Ayia Napa marina and examinations are being carried out by the authorities. It is then expected that the immigrants will be transferred to the "Pournara" Reception Center.
It is recalled that two other boats with a total of 59 migrants arrived in the same area on Wednesday and Thursday.
They are 40 men, four women and fifteen children, including one unaccompanied.
For these two cases of assisting immigrants, a seven-day detention order was issued by the District Court of Famagusta against three people, aged 62, 37 and 50.
