The Famagusta Municipal Councilors Dimitrios Dimitris of EDEK, Morfitis Andreas of Solidarity and Siopachas Andreas of DIKO are asking the Government to suspend the opening of the Deryneia roadblock, while at the same time talking about a "wrong decision".
The return of the entire city of Famagusta to its legal residents should continue to be the first and only priority and policy of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, the political world and the elected Municipal Council of our city, their statement said.
"We consider that the peculiarities of the Deryneia roadblock and the consequences of its opening, as well as the accomplishments created by the occupation troops on the beach of Agios Memnon, require the Government of the Republic of Cyprus to re-evaluate the situation and request its immediate suspension. a wrong decision - in our opinion - ", conclude the three Municipal Councilors.
