The Municipality of Famagusta and the School Ephorate of Famagusta organized an Awards Ceremony for Excellent Graduates for the school year 2016-2017, where students from Famagusta and with a general graduation grade of 19,50 / 20 and above were honored.
The event, organized for the 13th year, took place on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in the "Costas Sofianos" hall at the Municipal Hall of Agios Athanasios in Limassol.
The sponsors of the event were the former members of the Municipal Council of CleanthesStavri and Ioakeim Kallis.
The event was a success, as 60 children from Famagusta, who came from all over the free regions of Cyprus, were honored for their excellent performance.
On behalf of the Minister of Education and Culture, the Inspector of Secondary Education of Philological Affairs, Mrs. Life of Polydoros Odysseus. The Vice President of the Famagusta School Ephorate, Mr. Costas Ireidis, and the Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee of our Municipality, Mr. Andreas Kazamias, also gave a short greeting. The Mayor of Famagusta, Mr. Alexis Galanos, in his own greeting congratulated the excellent students of Famagusta and wished this ceremony to take place soon in Famagusta with children who will graduate from the schools of our beloved city.
Finally, the program of the event was decorated with songs of the Choir of the Municipality of Famagusta under the artistic direction of the conductor Mr. Nikos Vichas.
