In the last 13 hours, the Police proceeded with the complaint of 7 citizens and 24 premises, after 1.753 inspections carried out throughout Cyprus, in order to ascertain the observance and implementation of the decrees of the Infection Law.
As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated in KYPE, 517 inspections were carried out in Nicosia, during which three heads of premises and five citizens were reported. In Limassol, 171 inspections were carried out, which resulted in four complaints from citizens and three people in charge of premises.
In Larnaca 412 inspections were carried out without complaints, in Paphos 46 inspections were carried out, from which two complaints of citizens emerged. In Famagusta, 274 inspections were carried out and two citizens and a property were reported, while in the area of Morfos, 195 inspections were carried out and two property managers were reported.
The Traffic Police carried out 128 inspections throughout Cyprus, without any complaint. No complaints emerged from the 10 port police checks.
In relation to the fines on the premises, in the province of Nicosia they concern a workplace where a case was identified that should have been self-limiting and he was fined 500 euros. A fine of 1.500 euros was imposed on a cafeteria because an employee at it is not a safepass. For the same reason, a fine of 1000 euros was imposed on a fruit shop.
In Limassol, fines were imposed on two barbershops, the first 1.000 euros for allowing too many customers to enter and the second 500 euros for a manager without safepass. A fine of 1.500 euros was imposed on a supermarket - fruit shop because it allowed a customer to enter without safepass.
In Famagusta, the premises that were reported concerned a supermarket where a customer without safepass was located and a fine of 1.500 euros was imposed.
