Famagusta: Eight days detention for 21-year-old for burglary and theft

The Famagusta District Court today issued an eight-day detention order against a 21-year-old to facilitate police investigations into investigated case of burglary and theft from a hotel complex in Ayia Napa.

According to the Police, against the 21-year-old, four cases of burglary and theft were reported in the last days in a hotel complex, committed from June 25 to July 16, 2019 in Ayia Napa.

A search of the young man's home in the province of Famagusta turned up various electronic devices, a watch and a perfume, which are believed to be stolen products.

Cases involving burglary of tourist apartments, theft and illegal possession of property are being investigated against the young man.

The young man was arrested and today he was brought before the District Court of Famagusta, which issued a detention order against him for eight days.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
