BEACH: Handcuffs on the driver of the vehicle for the fatal

The handcuffs on the 55-year-old driver who seems at first sight to have been involved in the fatal car accident on Sunday afternoon with the victim the unfortunate Kyriakos Kavazis, 32 years old from Sotira, passed by the Police.

The 55-year-old driver of the vehicle, who was injured in the accident, was arrested by the Police to facilitate the investigations and is expected to testify about what happened and led to the death of the 32-year-old motorcyclist.

It is reminded that around 5:15, approximately, on Sunday afternoon, the new fatality occurred in Paralimni with the victim being Kyriakos Kavazis, 32 years old from Sotira.

Specifically, according to the Police, while the unfortunate 32-year-old was driving a motorcycle on Sotiras Street, under conditions that are being investigated, he collided with a car, which the 55-year-old was driving, in the opposite direction.

According to the examined data and what the Police states in its announcement, the 55-year-old driver of the car, allegedly tried to move to the right towards an adjacent premises, as a result of which his car collided with the motorcycle driven by the 32-year-old.

The 32-year-old was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where a doctor on duty confirmed his death.

The 55-year-old, whose health condition is out of danger, was also treated at the General Hospital of Famagusta.

The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Famagusta Traffic Police.
