With the testimony of the medical examiners Nikolas Charalambous and Aggeliki Papetta, the hearing process for the quadruple murder committed on the night of June 23, 2016 in Ayia Napa continued today before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta.

The victims of the attack were businessman Fanos Kalopsidiotis, police officer Elias Hadjiefuthymiou, his wife Skevi Hadjieffthymiou and Yiani Vogli, one of the perpetrators.

The accused are Loy Dejan 42 years old, Marios Christodoulou, 39 years old, Panagiotis Pentavkas 38 years old and Sofia Grigoriou 28 years old, who jointly face the charges of conspiracy to murder, premeditated murder, attempted murder, acts aimed at provoking damage, possession of a Class B firearm, possession of a Class A firearm, possession of a Class B firearm and possession of a Class A firearm.

Mr. Charalambous was the first to testify, who performed an autopsy on Ilias Hadjiefthymiou and prepared the necessary forensic report, according to which the deceased received a total of 9 bullets from two weapons, a Kalashnikov and a Glock. The four bullets hit him in the dorsal region of the torso (back), two bullets in the left arm, one bullet in the left shoulder blade, one bullet in the left cervical region, while one bullet tore the skin in the middle of the right forearm.

Elias first goal?

According to Mr. Charalambous, the deceased had a ruptured lung, 4 ruptured heart and a ruptured trachea, while the death of Hatziefthymiou was caused by multiple injuries, as a result of a gun. He added that the deceased had a total of 18 wounds, including penetrating and blind entry wounds, ie without exiting the bullet, while two bullets were removed from his body, one from the right abdomen and one from the left buccal region.

To questions from Elli Papagapiou, a representative of the Prosecution Authority, the medical examiner replied that the shots received by Hatziefthymiou were not from contact and that the fatal wounds were the 4 of the back that have hit vital organs.

He also explained that bullets from a Kalashnikov rifle cause more serious injuries than other weapons, meaning that the projectile's exit gate is larger, while usually the bullet's entry wounds are smaller than the exit bullets.

He also stated that Hadjiefthymiou's body was in a straight line in relation to the perpetrator, when he received some of the shots, while some shots hit him when his body was tilted.

He noted that Hadjiefthymiou was shot several times in the back of his body, ie in the back, while his body was found on the left side of the table, where he was sitting at The Stone Garden restaurant with his wife Skevi, Fanos Kalopsidiotis and the MMAD police officer. George Charalambous.

Then, Nikolas Charalambous referred to the forensic report he prepared for Panagiotis Kallitsionis, bodyguard of Fanos Kalopsidiotis, who was sitting at a table next to him, also the bodyguard and accused in the Loy Dejan case.

According to Mr. Charalambous, Kallitsionis received at least 3 shots and had injuries in the right lumbar region, the left shoulder girdle and the right abdomen.

This was followed by the testimony of the Medical Examiner Angeliki Papetta, who performed an autopsy on Fanos Kalopsidiotis. In her forensic report, Ms. Papetta said that Kalopsidiotis received at least 10 bullets and that from the bullets there was a rupture of the lung and a rupture of the right kidney with a complete cross-section of the spine in both cases.

He noted that several metal objects were found on Kalopsidiotis' body and that the cause of his death was multiple injuries caused by a firearm.

Answering questions from Ms. Papagapiou, the Medical Examiner stated that Theofanous had lost too much blood, that he had translucent wounds and that in some wounds the entry and exit of the bullet could not be determined precisely, because they are very extensive.

He also stated that two bullets were found and removed from Theophanos' body, which were handed over to the Police, while he noted that the weapon with which he was shot could not be precisely determined.

He noted that there was also a blind entry wound, without exiting the bullet, in the right femoral region and added that a bullet hit Theofanous while he was with his back to the perpetrator, ie the victim was bent or trying to hide.

According to Ms. Papetta, Theofanos' fatal injuries were in his right back (back) and right lumbar region, while he noted that it could not be said how close or far he was shot by the perpetrator.

The hearing will continue on Monday, March 20, at 09.00:XNUMX am, with other prosecution witnesses.
