In a statement to the Police, he stated, among other things, that around 22.20 on June 23, 2016, while he was in the club, a Romanian employee informed him that they had killed Fanos.

He added that he went to the Stone Garden where he saw police officer George Charalambous sitting in a chair and I lost "an unknown girl being dead.

Police officer Elias Charalambous was also dead next to her, while Fanos was found dead on the floor a little further down. "Where the dead were, there was a lot of blood," he said, noting that "below I saw another person lying on his head wearing a hood."

He also said that he saw police officer George Charalambous several times with Fanos Kalopsidiotis since they were best men and had close family relations. Regarding Dejan Loy, he said that he knew that he was a personal bodyguard of Fanos and that he had not seen him on the murder scene. He noted that he saw him in front of the restaurant, outside his own club, and when he asked him where he was, he replied that he was in the bathroom. I told him “he was very lucky.

He was very calm, "he said, adding that he was" impressed. "

He also said that he had no differences with the accused Panagiotis Pentavkas and that he knew that last year Pentavkas and Fanos Kalopsidiotis had a difference - misunderstanding.

In his main examination and answering questions from the representative of the Accused Authority, Ellis Papagapiou, the witness showed Panagiotis Pentavkas and Dejan Loy in the seat of the accused. He also said that Pentavkas had asked him before 2012 to buy 50% of his club and become partners, but, he noted, he managed to reach an agreement with Fanos Kalopsidiotis.

Examining Dejan Loy's defense attorney, Loizos Neophytou, the witness reiterated that he saw the Serbian guard outside his club, asked him where he was at the time of the murder, replied that he was in the toilet and told him that "he was very lucky". . In another question, he replied that the Serbian guard "was very calm and sad."

Then Maria Hatziangeli, a police officer serving in the Famagusta Foreigners and Immigration Service, testified and in her testimony stated that Dejan Loy came to Cyprus as a visitor on 6/5/16 and would leave on 19/5/2016. He also stated that the Serb came to Cyprus again on 14/4/16, however, he was not allowed to enter Larnaca airport.

Answering questions from Ms. Papagapiou, the witness showed Dejan Loy in the dock and said that she was arrested on 24/6/26 for the self-inflicted crime of staying illegally on the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.

Observing Mr. Neophytou, the witness stated that she saw Dejan Loy at the restaurant where the murder took place and told him that he was under arrest for staying in Cyprus illegally. He added that when the accused came to Cyprus last May, he had a special residence permit for another European country, Romania, and for that reason he was allowed to enter the Republic.

This was followed by the testimony of Thanassis Athanassiou, a motorcycle engineer, who works for an electric motorcycle company located on Agia Napa Avenue in Ayia Napa. He said that around 22.20 on 23/6/16 while he was eating at a nearby fast food restaurant, he heard loud and continuous shots and initially assumed that they were fireworks.

He then added that he fell to the ground because he realized that the noise was gunfire and they were falling very close to where he was.

He also said that while he was on the ground he saw a car, an old type (square), gray, coming out of the road and entering the Island Avenue. He added that he saw "the passenger door open, a man wearing a hood coming out from inside and limping went to the Ayia Napa cemetery. "The one who left limping was wearing a black T-shirt, dark pants and was of normal physique," he said.

In his testimony, the witness also stated that "another unknown man, also with a hood, who was sitting in the back seat, came out and sat in the passenger seat. Immediately after the car left at high speed to the cemetery. I didn't notice if those in the car were holding anything, nor did I notice if he was holding something in his hands, the one who came out and was limping towards the cemetery. "

Examining Ms. Papagapiou, the witness explained that “when I saw the car passing on Nisi Avenue, the passenger door was open and I did not understand if the person who was knocking was trying to get out or get out of it.

Then I realized that he got out of the car and walked limping towards the cemetery located on Nisi Avenue ".

The spokesperson of the Prosecuting Authority stated before the Criminal Court that she completed the case and that there were no other prosecution witnesses.

The hearing will continue on Friday, June 2, 2016.
