In Famagusta, elections will be held both for the position of community leader and for community councils in all communities of the free province of Famagusta, namely Acheritou, Achna, Avgorou, Frenaros and Liopetri.
Regarding the occupied province of Famagusta, according to the election commissioner of the Electoral District of Famagusta Angelos Agapiou, elections for mayor and community councils will be held in 14 of the 60 communities in the occupied province of Famagusta. Of the 14 communities for which elections will be held, eight will be for the election of a community head and the remaining six will be for a community head and community councils.
