With the testimony of the police officer who was responsible for collecting evidence from various scenes, the hearing for the quadruple murder committed on the night of June 23, 2016 in Ayia Napa continued today before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta.

The victims of the attack were businessman Fanos Kalopsidiotis, police officer Elias Hadjiefuthymiou, his wife Skevi Hadjieffthymiou and Yiani Vogli, one of the perpetrators.

Defendants are 42-year-old Loy Dejan, 39-year-old Marios Christodoulou, 38-year-old Benny, 28-year-old Panagiotis Pentavkas and XNUMX-year-old Sofia Grigoriou, who are jointly facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder, premeditated murder, attempted murder, and premeditated acts. bodily injury, possession of a B-class firearm, possession of a class A firearm, possession of a B-class firearm and possession of a class A firearm.

The four accused were taken to the courtroom of the Criminal Court, accompanied by armed MMAD police officers, who were by their side throughout the proceedings. Police officers from various services of the Force were also present in the courtroom.

Sergeant Neophytos Neophytou, who serves in the crime scene investigation and fingerprinting laboratory of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Police Headquarters, read reports that he made after his visits to various scenes related to the quadruple murder in Ayia Napa to gather.

He specifically stated that around one o'clock in the morning of June 24, 2016 he went with his colleagues to The Stone Garden restaurant where "Fanos Theofanous, Elias and Skevi Hatziefthymiou were found dead in a pool of blood" while at the table where they were sitting there were dishes with food and personal belongings of the victims ".

He added that on the ground and other parts of the restaurant such as tables and chairs "there were stains of blood, bullets, calyxes and fragments of a firearm".

He further added that on the ground between The Stone Garden and Edelweiss restaurants, the perpetrator Yani Vogli was lying on his back with two black masks, one inside and one outside, and next to him was a loaded Glock pistol. He also said that in the perpetrator's pants there were various items which were taken as evidence, such as the Albanian passport and his identity card, a Joker card and two KINO cards.

The witness also said that as a scene manager he conducted an investigation of the murder scene, the two restaurants and the surrounding area from where he gathered various items.

Among the scenes for the case that Mr. Neophytou visited was the country house in Protaras where the two Albanian perpetrators lived before the murder. He noted that on the ground in the yard of the house there was a cigarette butt which he collected as evidence.

He also went to the abandoned building of the College of Tourism in Aglantzia, to conduct investigations to locate the wanted perpetrator Alex Burelli. According to the witness, in one room there were various items, including full and used bottles of water, food in a nylon bag, a cigarette butt and a lighter, which he collected as evidence.

He also added that together with the lifer Charalambos Andreou he went to a house in Pera Chorio Nisou, where in the yard there was an inflatable boat on a trolley, owned by Andreou.

This was followed by the visit of the Police Sergeant to an apartment complex in the Chapel in Limassol, where he found, among other things, water, bread, packages with rice, cans of ready-made coffee, toilet paper and two motorcycle helmets.

According to Mr. Neophytou, his visit to an apartment in Ayia Napa followed, from where he received a number of items.

He also noted that among the items he received for examination was a burnt plate on which he performed a fingerprint test, without however finding any imprint.

The hearing will continue tomorrow at 09.00 in the morning with new prosecution witnesses.
