A modest ceremony was announced today at the Sotiras Municipal Palace to announce the new Sotiras municipal council. The ceremony was preceded by sanctification by the priests of the Church of the Savior.
Then the Municipal Secretary Antonis Kyriakou announced the names of the Mayor and the members of the Municipal Council, as they were formed after the elections of December 18.
The re-elected mayor, Georgios Takkas in his speech stated that it is the duty of the entire Municipal Council to work in unity and solidarity with the aim of unanimous decisions for the good of the Savior, while he confirmed that he will be mayor for every resident of Sotira, regardless of party that the door of his office will always be open to hear any problem, suggestion or complaint from the citizens of Sotira.
Then, at 17:00, the first plenary session of the Sotiras Municipal Council took place.
