The Municipality of Paralimni, with the support of the European Asylum, Integration and Immigration Fund and the Republic of Cyprus, continues to implement integration programs aimed at the integration of Third Country Nationals (YTH) in the local community.

A written announcement of the Municipality of Paralimni states that "the renewal of the Grant Agreement of the project entitled" Integration Programs by Local Authorities "was signed on Tuesday 14/3/17 at the offices of the European Funds by the Head of the Unit, Konstantinos Kyprianou, by of the Responsible Authority and by the mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis, on behalf of the Final Beneficiary ".

The general goal of the project, he added, "is to support the process of integration of SGI into Cypriot society, improving the capacity for social inclusion, cohesion and socialization, as well as the prevention of social exclusion. The participation of the Local Authorities is considered important in the planning and implementation of the policies of the integration of the immigrants in the host society, both for the achievement of social cohesion and for the prevention of the social exclusion and the marginalization ".

According to the announcement, "the new project will be implemented with a Final Beneficiary the Municipality of Paralimni and partners the Municipality of Deryneia, the Municipality of Sotiras and the Municipality of Ayia Napa and Enoros Consulting ltd".

The renewed Agreement "with a one-year implementation period and the right to renewal, includes, inter alia, actions aimed at the interaction and mutual information of the local community with the HFC through creative and recreational activities, as well as actions to develop a sense of acceptance and understanding of diversity and tackling racism and discrimination ".

Co-financed "are also training and education programs aimed at developing skills, which will help the HTS both in their daily lives and in their personal and professional development, but also in dealing with any problems they face. The social support programs, which are implemented within the framework of the project, aim at serving and facilitating the daily life of the children and parents of YTX ".

The program is co-financed by 90% from this EU Fund and by 10% from the Republic of Cyprus.
