A fire that broke out this morning in a car park in Ayia Napa resulted in the destruction of five vehicles.
According to the Police, around three in the morning, a fire broke out in a car park in Ayia Napa.
Members of the Police and the Fire Service went to the scene, where they located the fire and managed to extinguish it.
However, the fire destroyed five vehicles, the value of which has not yet been calculated.
From the preliminary examinations, it seems that at first sight the fire was set maliciously.
The scene was cordoned off and guarded while with the first light of day, examinations will be carried out by the Police, the Fire Brigade and the Electromechanical Service to determine the manner in which the perpetrators acted.
The case is being investigated by the Ayia Napa Police Station.
