The re-examination of Charalambos Andreou continued today, before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta, which is examining the case of the quadruple murder in Ayia Napa on July 23, 2016 on Katalimaton Street.

During the attack on The Stone Garden restaurant, Theofanis Theofanous, Kalopsidiotis, the couple Elias and Skevis Hatziefthimiou and Yani Vogli, one of the perpetrators of the murder, were killed.

Answering questions from Nikos Dimitriou, defense attorney of Panagiotis Pentavkas, the witness said that "Benny and Panagiotis Pentavkas indicated to me where I would leave the escape car", that the wanted Alex Bureli pointed out a point far behind it that the car was eventually abandoned "and that" I was carrying out Benny's orders, I was not carrying out Bureli's orders ".

Elsewhere in the interrogation, Nikos Dimitriou told Charalambos Andreou that the investigators of your case submitted to tell you about the escape route in order to involve the second accused (Panagiotis Pentavkas). That is why before 2/28/6 you did not report to the Police anything about the burnt car that was supposedly burned by the people of the second accused ".

Andreou replied that from 28/6/16 he reported to the Police that some people burned the escape car, he noted that "on 30/6/16 I gave some clarifications on the specific issue and mentioned some things about Panagiotis Pentavkas" and added that " "If I wanted to hide some things I would not say anything to the investigators."

"You said it on 10/7/16 after the investigators who will be available put pressure on you", said Nikos Dimitriou, with the witness answering that "the investigators did not put pressure on me. "Nobody has promised me anything so far."

Asked whether after the report he made to the Police about the recently murdered Andreas Dorotheos, he received threats from his environment (Dorotheos) not to involve him in the case, Andreou answered "no, I did not receive threats" while when asked if he was afraid of him Dorotheos said that "anyone would be afraid of people of the night who have money and can do anything".

Elsewhere in the interrogation, the witness said that "when I was in the Lakatamia detention center before I even admitted my guilt, a gentleman approached my parents and offered them 100 thousand euros to shut my mouth and not speak, to have 24-hour protection, to acquit me and find another lawyer. My parents replied that we do not sell our son for 100 thousand euros. If he is guilty of paying for what he did, "said the witness, adding that" this person is in the room today and if you allow me to mention his name. "

According to the witness, the person who had contacts with his father and his lawyer was "Christoforos Dimitriou" (son of Nikos Dimitriou, defense attorney of Panagiotis Pentavkas). He added that once this person called his father, his lawyer picked up the phone and told him that he would remain his defense attorney and asked him not to bother his client again. "This is what my parents told me recently," said Charalambos Andreou.

"What you said is a fairy tale that lacks seriousness," said Nikos Dimitriou, with the witness claiming that "it is not a fairy tale."

The lawyer claimed that the witness and Benny were about five minutes late to leave the place where the burnt escape car was located, in order to set fire to the vehicle with flammable material themselves. The witness replied "lie" and noted that "we did not light a fire in the car, we left it and left. "Our goal was to get out of there as soon as possible so that nothing would happen and they would be arrested on the spot."

Asked whether the Albanian executors set a condition for committing the murder not to go alone and have another person to cover up, Charalambos Andreou replied that he did not know anything like that. The defense attorney also said that there was a third person holding a Kalashnikov and got into the car with the two Albanian executors, with the witness saying that "I do not know there was a third person. "I got only the two executors in the car from the mansion to the restaurant where the murders took place."

Asked why he did not take Alex Bureli to Dorotheos with Benny to "play him", the witness replied that this did not happen because he was arrested and added that if the Police had not arrested me I would have taken him (Bureli) to Dorotheos and "Benis was with him."

In other remarks of Nikos Dimitriou, the witness said that "I tried to leave the case. If I left things would be worse, I had no choice but to pull back. The Albanians had the weapons, they knew my house and my girlfriend's house "he said and added that his girlfriend Sotia Neophytou did not know anything about the case, that he had no contacts with Sofia Grigoriou, that he did not tell any of his friends anything and noted that "Benny told me not to tell anyone so he would not find out."

Interrogated by Loizos Neophytou, Loy Dejan's defense attorney, the witness said that "Benny told me that a second defendant from Kalopsidiotis would be notifying the defendant who was in the toilet at the time" and that he did not know who the guard was and he would be a stranger or not.

In a relevant question, Charalambos Andreou admitted that after committing the murder "I was scared, I was anxious, I was careful in my movements and I had some reservations because what I did was not simple, it was 4 murders. It was unprecedented what happened and I was also involved ".

Loizos Neophytou said that his position is that Dejan was in the toilet by chance at the time of the murders, while the witness said that he did not know anything like that and repeated that "Benny and Pentavkas told me that he would inform us where Kalopsidiotis was. his guard who would be in the toilet at that time ".

My client (Loy Dejan), continued the defense attorney, does not have any involvement in the case, with the witness replying that I have not named your client in the case. What I knew was that a guard of Kalopsidiotis would notify where he was "that night.

The hearing will continue tomorrow with the testimony of other prosecution witnesses.
