According to the architect at the Department of Restoration of Ancient Monuments of the Greek Ministry of Culture Michalis Lefatzis and the associate professor of History at the University of Cyprus Theodoros Mavrogiannis, it is a burial monument from Cyprus, of the Ptolemaic era.

According to today's article in the newspaper "Phileleftheros", tomorrow, Wednesday, important announcements are expected in the framework of the International Conference of the Ancient Cypriot Secretariat that will take place at the Lyceum of Ethnarch I in Paphos.

The discovery is important from the point of view that it is essentially the first tomb of an official of the Ptolemaic era of Cyprus and is a unique type of burial monument.

According to the article, the cemetery of the Ptolemaic period is located in Chamber 8 in the Tombs of the Kings, which has not been found anywhere else by Mr. Lefatzis. Mr. Lefatzis is the architect of the excavation at the Casta Tomb of Amphipolis, where the equally unique discovery was located about 1 year ago.
