Roula Pispirigou arrived at the court a while ago, visibly changed. Slender, dressed in black, head bowed, but with the same icy gaze fixed on space, she entered the building through the back door.

Almost a year after the death of Georgina Daskalaki, her mother, Roula Pispirigou, will sit on the bench of the Mixed Jury Court. He is accused of the murder of Georgina on January 29, 2022 at the "Aglaia Kyriakou" Children's Hospital, but also of the attempted murder of her on April 11, 2021.

The court will be asked to consider the adjournment request and decide whether to grant it or simply grant an adjournment to a date within the next 20 days.

Why is Kougias asking for a postponement?

The criminologist, Alexis Kougias, who has taken over the case of Roulas Pispirigou, speaking on the ANT1 show "Good Morning Greece", clarified that he has already submitted a series of documents on the basis of which he will request a postponement of the start of the trial which is set for today, due to an obstacle with his participation in other trials which were postponed before the holidays and for which there is even a risk of statute of limitations.

Mr. Kougias, when asked about this, said that procedurally - at least at this moment - there is no possibility of combining the two cases for which Mrs. Pispirigou is accused, i.e. the one for which the trial could begin today, of the death of Georgina and the other concerning the death of the other two children, Maria Eleni and Iris. In fact, Mr. Kougias predicted that his client will not be indicted for the deaths of the two youngest children.

He then said that the presence of ketamine in Georgina's body was not in dispute, but it was documented that it was administered by doctors as part of the treatment. He added that dozens of scientists and mainly medical examiners will testify in favor of Mrs. Pispirigou.
