Her lawyer, Alexis Kougias, sticks to his line of defense for Roula Pispirigou, saying that he is absolutely convinced that the deaths of the three children from Patras came from pathological causes.
Alexis Kougias, one day after the start of Roula Pispirigou's trial for the murder of her first-born daughter, Georgina, aimed his arrows at forensics, broadcasts and Roula Pispirigou's estranged husband, Manos Daskalakis.
Speaking on the "Society Hour MEGA" show, she characterized as an "unfortunate moment of justice" the fact that on Wednesday the trial will continue and at the same time the 34-year-old will be asked to apologize for the deaths of Malena and Iris.
"The memorandum for her apology is 125 pages. Just for the lady investigator to read it will take at least two days. I said that the jury, the court, the doctors and the nurses should not suffer. The Karamandane hospital has died. However, I was not heard," he said.
"Rula Pispirigou has been detained for nine months. The 18th month ends on November 5, so there is no reason to have a "glue harp" trial. I always have confidence in the courts, but I am shocked by this development. Tomorrow morning the trial will not take place, a whole court will wait when the interrogation is over," he noted.

He referred to Manos Daskalakis, the first prosecution witness. According to the lawyer, the estranged husband of the 34-year-old is removing the photos from the children's memorials.
"Yesterday I made a direct complaint to him, why is he taking the pictures of the children from the graves. He was rude to me and he did it in front of his lawyers. I told him it's a criminal offense and he said "well, I'll do whatever I like". Manos Daskalakis will have many problems in the trial".
He stated that this trial will be the "trial of the medical examiners", while he emphasized that in their defense arsenal they have 8 medical examiners, two pathologists and a university professor.

Alexis Kougias also spoke on the morning show of ANT1, saying that the whole case started from the imagination of some journalists who, in order to gain television views, "set up" the case, even "appointing" the lawyers who defended it, wrongly, in his opinion.
The well-known lawyer noted that from the moment he took over the case, he started sending the evidence to medical examiners and other scientists, asking for their opinion and "where there was no one who had expressed a defensive opinion for the accused, now there are about 10 medical examiners and some pathologists who will testify that the children's death is due to pathological causes".
Finally, he focused on the fact – which he characterized as an oxymoron – that Pispirigou herself, who is accused of the deaths of her children, is the one who disputed the initial opinions that attributed the deaths to pathological causes and requested the investigation of the cases.
