The presenter in his pre-investigation apology reportedly claimed that he had downloaded the videos in question, which were re-posted by a stranger.
"I did not upload them. I do not know who uploaded the videos again. "I've been withdrawing them from the internet for three years," he was quoted as saying.

The well-known presenter, who tried to hide from the journalists, is accused of the crime of "disclosing personal data concerning the sexual life of natural persons, continuously, with the intention of harming another" as a felony.
According to his lawyer, Stathis Panagiotopoulos states that he regrets his act and admits that it is a huge mistake, however he claims that it has nothing to do with the republishing of the videos.
As Apostolos Lytras, lawyer of one of the women who reported Stathis Panagiotopoulos, stated to protothema.gr, the presenter's claim about the time the videos were downloaded is not valid, while he called on any woman in possession of similar material to file a complaint. the statement of Mr. Lytras:
"Because the authorities' reflexes worked quickly, any girl who has seen or knows that there is a video of her own on the internet should go and file a complaint. The claim that he allegedly downloaded the videos is not valid because the videos are still uploaded from his profile.
As we had foreseen, the prosecutor prosecuted the accused as a felony as it was his responsibility to judge his act based on paragraph 4 of the law. It remains to be seen whether his pre-trial detention will be ordered. "
His first photo from the detention center came to light. In it, Stathis Panagiotopoulos appears to be looking at the camera lens rather puzzled. He is visibly emaciated, while wearing a black t-shirt and military, cargo pants.
He is expected to be brought before the investigator on Monday, in order to apologize.
Until then, however, it is not ruled out that two more girls will testify against him, who allegedly have identified themselves in a "pink" video posted on the Internet by the well-known presenter.
